Marlin Credit (Pty) Ltd is a registered lender (credit provider), not a broker. We are registered with the National Credit Regulator as a credit provider, registration number NCRCP327. We are a certified member of the Credit Association of South Africa (CASA) (casa.co.za).
2. Our service
We provide bridging finance: loans to South Africans who are waiting for a lump-sum payout, such as a pension or provident fund payout. Loan agreements run for 61 to 180 days, depending on when your payout is expected. You repay once, as set out in your loan agreement, and early settlement is accepted. Our costs page explains our fees and the interest we charge, and you see the full cost of credit in your quote and loan agreement before you sign.
3. Information on this website is general
- The information on this website is general information. It is not financial advice, and it is not an offer of credit.
- All credit is subject to an affordability assessment in terms of the National Credit Act, and to our other lending conditions. We may decline an application.
- Results from the cost calculator and the eligibility check are estimates only. Your quote and your signed loan agreement set out the terms that apply to you, and they take precedence over anything on this website.
4. Applying through the website
Sending the application form is an enquiry, not a loan agreement, and it does not oblige you or us to enter into one. A loan agreement exists only once it has been approved and signed. We never charge upfront fees: if anyone asks you to pay before you receive a loan in Marlin Credit's name, it is a scam (see how to spot a bridging loan scam).
Please give us true and complete information about yourself, and apply only for yourself or with the authority of the person you are applying for.
